Hello Kitty made her first appearance more than 45 years ago, but she and her friends will be Forever 21 with this new collection!
This is the second time fashion retailer Forever 21 has partnered with the beloved Sanrio icon for licensed apparel and accessories, this time moving away from the traditional pastel pink and toward a new, grunge aesthetic. Many of the pieces in the collection tap into darker colors, graffiti-style fonts, and faux leather material, while others keep true to the classic kawaii look.
The collection offers sweaters, T-shirts, jackets, skirts, sweatshirts, joggers, sweatpants, and more displaying Hello Kitty imagery and graphics in women’s, men’s, kids’, and plus sizes. There are also pieces featuring some of Hello Kitty’s friends, including Badtz-Maru, Keroppi, and the Twin Stars.
A standout from the collection is the faux leather Hello Kitty & Friends Moto Jacket. It displays “Hello Kitty” in a grunge font on the sleeve, along with notched lapels and pin details. The back of the jacket features a spray paint-style image of Hello Kitty, her bow complete with paint drips.
This collection also features more than just apparel! Forever 21 is offering Hello Kitty & Friends bags, beauty products, home decor, jewelry, phone cases, notebooks, sleepwear, and even pet apparel. Carry Keroppi around on a cute phone case, strut around the house in Twin Stars slippers, and store all of your beauty products in a Badtz-Maru makeup bag.
The Hello Kitty & Friends x Forever 21 collection is available to shop now for a limited time in Forever 21 stores and at forever21.com, with prices ranging from $6.99-79.99.
